  • @BrettFromTibet I’m not an accountant but it does everything I need to keep the books like an accountant. #
  • Installing Windows via VMware Fusion. So far it’s been a painless experience. #
  • @Hellyski Yikes. Get well soon. #
  • @fitzage The service pack updates and such? Is it bad? #
  • @bigfleet Sounds like a corporate mission statement. #
  • @fitzage Unfortunately, yes. #
  • If the government can mandate HDTV, why can’t they mandate Mac OS X? #
  • Putt putt putt putt putt. Now I’m *really* glad I ordered more RAM. The MacBook beachballs with almost every action when VMware is running. #
  • @fitzage getting the 4GB kit was only $100 so I went for it. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-04-02

  • Anyone know of a good online fax or email 2 fax 2 email solution? Also, anyone know a good business card guy? My needs are simple on both. #
  • @fitzage I know. I don’t need to receive faxes, but I need to send them. #
  • Looking through boxes in the basement I found my edu copy of Macromedia Studio MX. Adobe gave me the Web Premium upgrade price. Score! #
  • @ReTodd yeah, the customer service guy said Adobe is much more lenient with respect to upgrade paths than Macromedia was. #
  • @fitzage, but they wouldn’t have allowed me to upgrade from an edu license on Windows to a full license on Mac with more software. #
  • And speaking of upgrades, where’s a good place to get RAM for the MacBook? #
  • Thanks for the memory suggestions, all. #
  • @ReTodd yes, they killed the serial on the Studio MX. I don’t mind. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-03-20

  • Mike Clark is discussing Advanced Rails Recipes and the struggle between the "not advanced enough" camp and those who think Rails is Ruby. #
  • Chad Fowler is here tonight. Both he and Mike question the value of Rspec. #
  • Correction: they’re worried about the cult of testing that has grown out of the community that absolutely demands testing with Rspec. #
  • Mike is now discussing the Dtrace implementation written by @rubyist. #
  • @rubyist, is there a DSL for Dtrace? #
  • Learned last night at BRG that Chad Fowler, Marty Haught, and I all live in Longmont. I’m going to their homes every evening for Ruby help. #
  • I will also expect dinner. #
  • @dantekgeek It’s a magic combination, and the title of Chad’s next book on Ruby, I might add. #
  • @andrewlkho Nice find. Thanks. #
  • Just wanted to say Happy Spring to you all. #
